Cheryl Contee Makes Huffington Post's Top Tweeters in Tech List
posted by Roz Lemieux on September 14, 2011
As a part of Huffington Post’s Women in Tech series, the list of top female founders in tech to follow on Twitter includes our very own Cheryl Contee! The group is made up of “27 female founders who are changing industries, reshaping the public sector, doing good, and helping others, all by using technology in creative new ways,” says Bianca Bosker. Cheryl is in company with the founder of Flickr, Ellen Miller of the Sunlight Foundation, and many other pioneering female entrepreneurs.
The article highlights a sample tweet from each founder, and encourages readers to follow them on Twitter. Cheryl’s tweet relates to a recent trip she took to Cameroon with UNITAID to explore global health issues.
Cheryl has been featured in the Huffington Post in the past, including her blog post on the internet’s potential to change politics. Cheryl gives credit to her co-founder Roz Lemieux for partnering with her to create an innovative social business, making waves and change in the tech world. Without Roz, Fission wouldn't have been founded and here at Fission, we consider her a number one female founder to follow on Twitter. The Huffington Post article can be viewed here.
