Project Summary:
The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People’s Legal Defense and Educational Fund (NAACP-LDF) was looking for help to bring awareness to two important cases headed to the Supreme Court – voting rights and college admissions. Fission researched the current landscape online where the potential right to vote was challenged, then worked with NAACP-LDF to update their online strategy in order to reach their target audiences more effectively.
Given that 28% of African Americans use Twitter, Fission helped develop a robust Twitter strategy and designed infographics intended to be shared across the social network. In a matter of months, NAACP-LDF had quadrupled their Twitter following.
The infographic reached key influencers, media, and decision makers, including Senator Kirsten Gillibrand!
Today, the organization is better able to reach and engage with a new generation of African American online influencers in an impactful way, using 21st century techniques.
